Septarian Necklace Genuine Leather Adjustable

This is a Septarian Adjustable Necklace made with Genuine Leather Cord that I recently made for sale. The Necklace is made with Sliding knots allowing you to adjust the length to your preferred fit.

I recently got the chance to check out the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. While I was down there I picked up a variety of Cabochons That Ive been using to make necklaces.

Septarian also known as Lightning Stone forms in sedimentary rocks like limestone, mud stone, and shale. Organic material forms around a nucleus creating a nodule. Over time, as the rock expands and contracts fractures and veins form throughout the material allowing ground water to infiltrate the cracks filling in the material with Calcite and other minerals. This process creates the lightning patterns throughout the stone.

Septarian has many Localities throughout the world. Lake Michigan is well known for its nodules with yellow Calcite. The Septarian used in this necklace likely comes from Morocco due to the darker concretion and white Calcite.

The length of the necklace at its longest setting is 33" The length at its shortest setting is 18"

The dimensions of the pendant are 2.33"x 1.27"x .17" The weight of the necklace is 22 grams.
