Blue Sodalite Necklace

This is a Sodalite Pendant Necklace that I recently made for sale.

The necklace is made with a copper colored 2mm genuine leather cord. The necklace is tied with sliding knots allowing you to adjust the length to your preferred fit.

I cut and polished the stone with my Saw and Flatlap. After that I drilled a hole through the side of the stone which allowing me to feed the leather cord directly through. From there I tied the sliding knots and what's left is the finished product.

Sodalite is dark blue sodium rich mineral belonging to the feldspathoid mineral group. The same "Sodalite" was given due to the minerals rich sodium content.

The rough material comes from a rock shop in the Black Hills of South Dakota but was originally sourced from Brazil.

The main colors of the stone are Blue, White, and Black with some sections being translucent.

The length of the necklace cord at its longest setting is about 31" and 18" at the shortest.

The dimensions of the pendant stone are 2.37"x .45"x .33"
The weight of the necklace is 14 grams.
